Partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand
and the International Development Studies program at
Chulalongkorn University

2 scholarships are open to government or non-profit sector
employees from Thailand (2 total)
2 scholarships are open to government employees from Vietnam
(2 total)
1 scholarship is open to government employees from each of the
following four Southeast Asian countries:
    (1) Cambodia (2) Laos (3) Indonesia (4) Philippines (4
total)

The Master of Arts Program in International Development
Studies is committed to facilitate a Scholarship Program to
enable qualified prospective students from Cambodia,
Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam to
study at the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn
University. Upon completion, graduates are expected to return
to their home countries and contribute to the progress of
their respective countries. The scholarship fund makes it
possible for qualified students from these countries to travel
and live in Bangkok while attending the program for a 14-month
period.

The program offers an intensive post-graduate
interdisciplinary program to deal with the complexity of
development in the new era. Students will be exposed to
theories and practices of development based on experiences
within and outside the region. The program provides teaching
and scholarly interactions from various development networks
and international development organizations based in Thailand.
Most qualified candidates from Southeast Asia are in need of
financial support. It is recognized that the investment in
higher education for students from neighboring countries not
only contributes to bridging development gaps but strengthens
ties between Thailand and its neighbors.
