Lecturer in the History of South East Asia Department of History
£29,527-£41,735 p.a. inclusive of London Allowance

Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in the History of South East Asia in the Department of History commencing on 1 September 2008. 
Candidates need to demonstrate an internationally recognised research and publication record. The ability to carry out research in at least one of the indigenous languages of the region is required. A PhD in a relevant subject is required, although those who are close to completing a PhD will also be considered. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to teaching at both BA and MA levels, for all periods, and to supervise research students working on the history of South East Asia.
