Institute is coming to UCR for the second year this spring break (Monday, March
23 - Sunday, March 29). Last year over 50 UCR students and 6 UCR staff members
spent their spring break in Oak Glen, CA with The LeaderShape Institute.
LeaderShape is an interactive, energizing, and unique experience that builds
leadership skills no other program can match. It is a six day institute
of non-stop self-discovery and learning from practical experiences that help
students build their leadership concepts and abilities. It is an
experiential leadership program in which all participants, including program
faculty (UCR staff), live on site for the six days of the institute.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>

size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>The
program’s faculty is comprised of two Lead Facilitators that are sent
from the national LeaderShape office and 6 Cluster Facilitators, which are UCR
staff. The UCR LeaderShape Advisory Committee will begin to recruit and
interview UCR staff members that are interested in Cluster Facilitator
opportunity in January. The Cluster Facilitators’ primary responsibility
is to work with a group of 8-12 students called the “Family
Cluster.” The program begins on Monday, March 23 for the Cluster
Facilitators for training and overview. The students arrive on Tuesday, March
24 and students and Cluster Facilitators stay until Sunday, March 29.
LeaderShape is held at an off-campus retreat site, more than likely we’ll
return to Oak Glen, CA again. Housing and meals are provided and it is required
that the facilitators stay overnight. The facilitators do have separate lodging
from the students. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
