<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">Pursuant to the settlement agreement, eligible CUE employees are to be permitted to begin using their personal leave hours from May 1, 2012.&nbsp; Personal leave hours were loaded into PPS under the Paid Time Off (PTO)
 field on the May 1, 2012 payroll.&nbsp; The accrued balances were displayed on the Time Records and Earnings Statements.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify"><b>CX Employees who take time off under this program should record them on the Time Record under column 11 (other leave) as PTO.&nbsp; PPS Preparers should also record these hours on OPTRS under DOS code &#8216;PTO&#8217;.<o:p></o:p></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align:justify">As part of the global settlement with CUE-IBT, UC entered into an agreement to provide eligible employees (see below) with paid Personal Leave to partially offset the loss of work hours due to temporary layoff
 or campus closure in 2009/10.&nbsp; Pursuant to that agreement, eligible employees are to receive&nbsp; 8 hours of paid Personal Leave for every 24 hours of work lost due to temporary layoff or campus closure beyond the average number of closure days in the two preceding
