The Medical and Health Careers Program (MHCP) is recruiting Peer Mentors
for the 2008-09 academic year. Peer Mentors are a very important
part of MHCP's efforts to help UCR students be well prepared to apply to
graduate and professional programs in health care. This is an
excellent service opportunity as well as a good way for you to develop
your own skills. <br><br>
MHCP's 20-25 Peer Mentors help new students in many ways, including
working with your individual mentees. Peer mentors also assist the MHCP
Office with campus events and activities and will participate in mentor
training. <br><br>
Minimum requirements:<br>
Successful completion of at least 20 units of health professions
pre-requisite courses<br>
Sophomore standing by Fall 2008<br>
3.25 gpa<br>
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills<br><br>
