<font size="6">NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!<br><font size="4">The few emails I have received about the GSA elections seemed to echo a similar sentiment...people are interested, but feel they don't have the experience needed. Anyone who suffered through my first few council meetings that confirm just how clueless I was when I became involved with the GSA. I had absolutely NO student government/association experience (yeah, yeah, I know that was obvious), but I wanted to try something new and I learned as I went along. <br>
<br>We are going to pay student fees regardless if there is an association or not~What we (all 2,500 of us) NEED is a few of you to step up and make sure as much of those fees as possible are put back in grad student pockets through conference travel grants, co-sponsorship of conferences, grad bashes....<br>
There isn't a single position that requires experience or any specific knowledge of the GSA~ If you are a grad student and can find a couple hours a week in your schedule then PLEASE apply! Here is where we are at currently:<br>
President: 2 candidates<br>Exec. VP: 0 candidates<br>VP Acad. Affairs: 0 candidates<br>Public Relations: 1 candidate<br>Health Insurance: 0 candidates<br>Finance: 2 candidates<br>Please send me your name and a short statement about why you would like to serve the GSA before April 8th.<br>
