Bettina Bildhauer is Lecturer in German at the University of St
Andrews<br>
in Scotland. She is the author of such books as Medieval Blood<br>
and has coedited the influential collections Medieval Film and The<br>
Monstrous Middle Ages. She has been awarded a Leverhulme Prize,<br>
and an Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship for her work on the Middle<br>
Ages in German film and she is presently a fellow at the Free
University<br>
of Berlin. She is a regular reviewer for TLS.<br>
