<div>I&#39;m sending you the link to Chris Newfield&#39;s blog (which I suspect most of you are familiar with by now).  The English Dept&#39;s letter of solidarity is currently featured as the top item on the blog.  An old friend of mine (a UCLA history prof.), is helping Newfield with the blog and has put it on there after I sent him a copy of it.  He has encouraged me to write something for the blog and I may take him up on that suggestion in the future.  If I do, and if it appears in print, I&#39;ll let you know.</div>
