the publication of Issue #2 of <i>Phantom Seed</i>, a Literary Magazine
of and about the Heart of the California Desert. William Luvaas, Rice
Baxter, Chris Clarke and Rob Roberge will join Ruth in a poetry reading
and then a panel discussion on the possibilities of a "desert
noir," with a goal toward finding parallels and contrasts to the
genre/trend towards "noir" that seems to be wrapping itself in
literature around many of the country's urban areas.<br><br>
