Dear Film Fans, Anglophiles,
Francophiles, Literati and Romantics,
I am pleased to report that we opened the 3rd Annual UCR Tournees French
Film Festival (2008) successfully with a screening of "Paris,
je t'aime" thanks to an
enthusiastic audience. We look forward to even bigger audiences for
our upcoming films and we appreciate your support, as more people =
breakingeven = more films in the future! Bear in mind that even in
a case when the film is available on dvd (which not all of our films are,
btw), it's a rare opportunity to be able to see French films on FILM (not
dvd) in
Riverside! Please help us show that there is an audience for
this!
My thanks - a grand merci - to Anna
Gutierrez for her amazing work on Tournees 2008 - this wouldn't be
happening without her! We hope to see you - and your friends and students
(mature only :), etc - at "Lady Chatterley" next Tues... we
plan to start off the series of Tuesdays in May with a bang!
Note also that we are working on having
two screenings of our final film, "Persepolis," since we expect
a large turnout - so 7pm and 9pm, to be confirmed.
Merci et a bientot/thanks and see you soon,
