The English Department at Loyola Marymount University is seeking a
Visiting Assistant Professor in rhetoric, composition and literature to
begin teaching full-time (four courses per semester) in the Fall of
2008. This is a one-year position with the possibility of
renewal. The MA is required, but a Ph.D. is preferred.
Experience in teaching first-year students in writing and literature is
essential. Secondary fields that would be useful to our department
and would strengthen the candidate’s application are journalism and
modern American literature. Teaching responsibilities would include
freshman writing and literature courses and might include courses in
journalism or American literature, depending on the candidate’s expertise
and experience.<br>
