at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she directs the Science,
Technology, and Culture degree program and curates the Bud Foote Science Fiction
Collection. She was the 2005 recipient of the Pioneer Award for Outstanding
Science Fiction Scholarship and is current Vice President of the Science
Fiction Research Association. Yaszek’s books include <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>The Self Wired: Technology and Subjectivity in Contemporary
American Narrative</span></i> (Routledge Press, 2002) and <i><span
style='font-style:italic'>Galactic Suburbia: Recovering Women’s Science
