A number of students have heard that they do not need to enroll in the L
course for winter quarter if they took it in the fall. Please let
them know that the<br>
on-line course for Basic Writing in the winter is all new material.
If students failed the lecture course in the fall and have to retake
Basic Writing in the winter,<br>
they are still expected to enroll in the L course - they need the grammar
practice.<br><br>
