<font face="Verdana" size=2>Intensive workshops organized by the Getty
Research Institute are designed for doctoral candidates in art history
and/or visual culture studies who are writing dissertations. The
distinctive formatin which each participant presents the project of
anotherprovides a small group of advanced graduate students the
opportunity for intensive discussion with each other and with two senior
professors in the field. <br><br>
<b>To apply</b>: Please send your dissertation proposal, an update on the
status of your project, a current curriculum vitae, and a letter of
recommendation from your thesis advisor. You must have advanced to
candidacy, written at least one chapter of your dissertation, and expect
to finish after 2008. <br><br>
