Hello,

We will be using a new edition of Write It, called Write It
Review, for the winter quarter. Unfortunately, the books are
not in yet and we know many of you will be making out your syllabus over
the winter break. I've attached the book's Table of Contents so
that you can have some idea of how to organize Write It Review
into the material you want to cover over the ten weeks. The TOC
will allow you to generate assignments using titles and page
numbers. As soon as I get a delivery date on the books, I'll let
you know and you can pick up your copy.

We'll be relying on the fall quarter orientation booklet during the
winter quarter. Some of the information, however, will have to be
updated/revised, such as important dates, model syllabi, etc. We're
going to use the list serve to distribute those pages very soon. If
you did not teach basic writing during the fall and do not have a
booklet, please stop by and pick up a copy. Now that a passing
grade in Eng 4/5 fulfills the ELWR requirement, it is important that
class demands and evaluation criteria are consistent, section to
section. The guidelines for all Eng 4/5 classes can be found in
this booklet and you'll want to read them as you set up your class.
If you send an email request, I'll be happy to put one in your box, if
that's more convenient for you.

Enjoy the break and Happy Holidays -
