Greetings All:

I very much like the idea of getting together to discuss pedagogy practices. If I might make the following suggestions:

1) we should meet once per quarter around week 6 or 7 (before it gets too hectic)

2) we should have a number of important composition theory articles to read; these could include, let's say, two articles on basic writing issues and two articles on other advanced composition issues. These articles could be the platform for discussion. Vorris, who so kindly offered to lead this discussion, could make the selections based on his own knowledge of the field and from participant input.

3) we could distribute these articles as Adobe Acrobat.pdf files to all people on the listservs. Because Adobe is the equivalent of an electronic photocopy, we shouldn't be violating copyright.

Anyway, these are my suggestions about it. What do you all think about them?
