We’re the founders of Slice Literary, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization.
We publish a semi-annual literary magazine, in addition to hosting events
throughout New York City. We aim to bridge the gap between emerging writers and
the professional publishing world—a theme that we’ve found particularly appeals

hosting a conference that is designed to walk emerging writers through the
professional publishing process, “from the writer’s desk to the bookstore
shelf.” Many conferences focus on the art of writing and not the practical task
of breaking into the publishing world. Bestselling writers, top agents, and
leading publishing professionals will lead panels and workshops. We are
offering a special discounted rate for students. We are also excited to
announce that we are now able to pay contributors of our semi-annual
magazine! </span></p>
