<div><br></div><div>In 2011/2012, Iron Horse Literary Review will publish one story, one</div>
<div>essay, or three to four poems written by a graduate student currently</div><div>enrolled in an AWP-affiliated program. The featured writer will be</div><div>displayed prominently in the issue and will also receive $150 for firstserial</div>
<div>publication rights and four free copies of the issue featuring his or</div><div>her work. IHLR editors judges this competition.</div><div><br></div><div>Rules:</div><div>• Manuscripts must arrive with a nomination letter from the director/faculty member of the</div>
<div>student's creative writing program.</div><div>• Each program may nominate only ONE student per genre: one in fiction, one in nonfiction, one in poetry. Multiple submissions from the same program will be automatically disqualified.</div>
<div>• Prose manuscripts should be no longer than 20 pages, double-spaced, one-inch margins, 12-point type; poetry manuscripts should include 3 to 5 poems but not more than 10 pages.</div><div>• Previously published manuscripts will not be considered.</div>
<div>• Simultaneous submissions will not be considered.</div><div>• Students enrolled in Texas Tech University's creative writing program will not be considered.</div><div>• All nominations must be postmarked by March 18th.</div>
<div>• Manuscripts should be sent to Iron Horse Literary Review, Discovered Voices Award,</div><div>Department of English, Texas Tech University, MS 43091, Lubbock, TX 79409-3091. Make</div><div>sure the envelope clearly says this is a nomination for the Discovered Voices Award.</div>
<div>• Please include the student's bio note, social security number, HOME address, and email</div><div>address on a title/cover sheet, but do NOT place any identifying information on the</div><div>manuscript itself.</div>
