Congratulations to our own Andrew Winer who had a wonderful and extremely
well-attended reading from his new book "The Marriage Artist" at Diesel books
in Brentwood Sunday afternoon.
Andrew read short introductions to several of his main characters and followed
each brief reading with a "rebuttal" letter from the characters to Andrew, reacting
to the way he portrayed them in his book. It was an accessible and clever device
to bring the audience into the world of a novel they haven't yet read.
Once again, it was the perfect way to let the larger world know what an
incredibly talented and impressive faculty we have at UCR.
It was a real pleasure to be there.
