<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-family: Garamond;" lang="EN-US">Maurice Kilwein Guevara</span></b><span style="font-family: Garamond;" lang="EN-US"> was born in Belencito,
Colombia in 1961 and raised
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is Professor of
English at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee,
where he teaches in the MA and PhD Programs in Creative Writing as well as in
the Latino Studies Program.<span> </span>He is the
author of <u>Postmortem, Poems of the River Spirit</u>, <u>Autobiography of
So-and-so: Poems in Prose</u> and <u>POEMA</u>.<span> </span>He has served on the Board of Directors of
the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) and was the first Latino
to be elected as its President.<span> </span><b><br></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Garamond;" lang="EN-US"><b><br></b></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Garamond;" lang="EN-US"><b>Sesshu Foster </b></span><span style="font-family: Garamond;" lang="EN-US">is a contemporary poet
whose work examines how people of different ethnic backgrounds interact within
the power structure of Los Angeles
and how they affect the cultural composition of the city.<span> </span>He has t</span><span style="font-family: Garamond;" lang="EN-US">aught composition and literature in East L.A. for 20 years.<span>
</span>His most recent books are the novel <u><span>Atomik Aztex</span></u> and <u><span>World
Ball Notebook</span>.</u></span></p>
