A poet and novelist, Chris Abani is additionally a Professor of Creative
Writing at the University of California, Riverside, where he is the
Director of the M.F.A. Program. His numerous awards include reception of
a Guggenheim Fellowship in Fiction. A self-described “zealot of
optimism”, Chris will be reading from <i>Sanctificum</i>, his most recent
collection of poetry, as well as poetry from international poets.
