In the letter of nomination we ask that the student indicate specifically what makes his/her faculty advisor an outstanding mentor and why he or she should receive the award this year.<br><br>The nominations will be reviewed by a faculty committee composed of members of the Graduate Council. The committee will take into consideration not only the letters of recommendation received but also the number of students the faculty has mentored, a history of effective mentoring, and possible comments from other faculty or departmental chairs.<br><br>Nominees of previous years will require re-nomination to be considered by this year's committee.</font><br></blockquote><blockquote type="cite" cite="" style="padding-top: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; "><font color="#000000">Nominations should be received no later than Friday, April 24.
