There's a Mellon Group that will be investigating Asian/American Cultural Studies in the 21st century & will be bringing writers & other speakers to campus. Prof. Traise Yamamoto of the English Department is heading the effort up.<br>

<br>Also, the 1st writer coming will be David Mura, who will be reading from his new novel, <i>Famous Suicides of the Japanese Empire</i>, just out from Coffee House Press. He's reading Thursday, October 9, 4:30-6pm at HMNSS 1500.<br>
