Good point Stephanie. I wonder though what the university's position is
with regard to ownership of intellectual material posted on ilearn? I
know some universities in the East Coast (I believe) claimed ownership
of IM on ilearn. This came up in one of my grad classes and I had to
give students the option to not post material they wanted to retain the
rights to.<br><br><div><span class="gmail_quote">On 2/19/08, <b class="gmail_sendername">Stephanie Hammer</b> <<a href="mailto:hamm@ucr.edu">hamm@ucr.edu</a>> wrote:</span><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="border-left: 1px solid rgb(204, 204, 204); margin: 0pt 0pt 0pt 0.8ex; padding-left: 1ex;">
hey everyone --<br><br>the other thing you can do is follow chuck's suggestion and<br>use a website on ilearn. since it's limited to the ucr<br>student, staff, and faculty community, it's a site that's used<br>
"for educational purposes only" and therefore ok, legally, i<br>believe. shammer<br><br>---- Original message ----<br>>Date: Tue, 19 Feb 2008 22:02:18 -0800<br>>From: "chris abani" <<a href="mailto:chris.abani@gmail.com">chris.abani@gmail.com</a>><br>
