artists for the Arts and Minds Program </span></font><font size=1 face=Tahoma><span

The Riverside Arts Council is seeking dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced
part- time visual and performing artists for upcoming Arts & <br>
Minds artist residencies. Artists who have experience working with elementary
and middle school aged students in schools or community settings are invited to
apply for participation in 10 -15 week artist residencies.<br>
<br>
Residencies start in September and continue through June. Pay is $35 an hour.
Preference is given to applicants with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent
experience particularly those applicants that reside in the City of </span></font><font
size=1 face=Tahoma><span style='font-size:7.5pt;font-family:Tahoma'>Riverside</span></font><font
size=1 face=Tahoma><span style='font-size:7.5pt;font-family:Tahoma'>.<br>
<br>
Designed to meet the specific needs of each school and community site being
served, artist residencies encompass a wide range of visual and performing arts
disciplines from a variety of cultures. Professional artists work as partners
with teachers/site Coordinators to emphasize literacy and other curricular
skills. They incorporate the California Department of Education's Framework for
the Visual and Performing Arts and the Content Standards as they integrate the
arts into k-12 curricula.<br>

Artists of all disciplines wanted, especially in the areas of anime, music and
