</span></font></b>In this lecture based on her current research, Prof.
Antomarinin provides an interdisciplinary approach to translation which is
relevant to studies of performance and performativity, poetry and comparative
literature. Prof. Antomarini will speak about the possible ways to
translate poetry and about the assumption that poetry -- that intertwining
between sound and sense -- is grounded in oral transmission. <br>
<br>
<b><font size=4><span style='font-size:13.5pt;font-weight:bold'>Prof.
Antomarini </span></font></b>teaches philosophy of art in Rome's John Cabot University.
She has recently edited and translated, with Susan Stewart the book
"Scipione: Poesie e prose/ Poems and prose." She is founding editor
of the philosophy series "Montag" and is co-editor of the philosophy
journal "il cannocchiale". <br>
