size=5>One Water One Watershed: The Sustainable

<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Nearly every California
resident understands that the state moves in and out of drought on a
regular basis. Additional challenges of climate change, fiscal crisis,
energy costs and conflict further stress the system. </FONT>
<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>But what many residents
don’t know is that with careful planning and water resource management, a
secure and sustainable water supply is at hand, says <STRONG>Celeste
Cantú, </STRONG>General Manager of the Santa Ana Watershed Authority
(SAWPA) and April 17th speaker at the Randall Lewis Seminar Series. The
seminar will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Conference Room B, UCR Extension
Building, 1200 University Ave., Riverside. </FONT>
<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>“Every water consumer
has an important role to play in making our water supply secure and
sustainable. We live in the Santa Ana River Watershed, and this is home to
many of the most innovative water practices,” she said. </FONT>
<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Ms. Cantú will discuss
the Watershed’s integrated regional water management plan – known as “One
Water One Watershed” (OWOW), and describe the efforts by the region’s
stakeholders in managing all aspects of the region’s water resources.
</FONT>
<P class=style9 align=center><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Arial>About the
speaker </FONT></STRONG>
<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>As General Manager of
the SAWPA, Celeste Cantú has been working on the Crest to Coast, Corner to
Corner Integrated Regional Watershed Management Plan - known as One Water
One Watershed (OWOW) - that addresses all water-related issues, joins all
entities, and hundreds of stakeholders seeking to create a new vision of
sustainability for the Santa Ana River Watershed. </FONT>
<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Ms. Cantú previously
served as the Executive Director for the California State Water Resources
Control Board. During the Clinton Administration, she served as the USDA
Rural Development State Director for California. She also served as
Planning Director for the city of Calexico and later as Executive Director
for the Imperial Valley Housing Authority. </FONT>
<P class=style9 align=left><FONT size=2 face=Arial>She has a Bachelor's
degree from Yale in Urban Planning and Policy and a Master's degree in
Public Administration from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. </FONT>

<P class="p style38" align=left>Randall Lewis is well known for his
innovative approaches to planning, designing, and marketing residential
communities as Executive Vice President of the Upland-based Lewis Group of
Companies.
<P class="p style38" align=left>He is regarded as an industry leader in
promoting the arts, education, healthy living and sustainable development
initiatives. He has been President of the Inland Empire Arts Foundation,
Secretary of the Los Angeles County Citizens Planning Council, director of
the HomeBuilder's Council, and national director of the National
Association of HomeBuilders.
<P class="p style38" align=left>Mr. Lewis was named in the Los Angeles
Times 2006 “West 100” list as one of the top 100 influential people in
southern California. He has also received the California Business
Properties Association Champion of the Industry Award and has been
inducted into the California Building Industry Association Hall of Fame.
<P class="p style38" align=left>Mr. Lewis is a long time ULI member as
well as a Governor of the ULI Foundation. He serves on several executive
boards, including the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development, the
UCLA School of Public Policy, Loma Linda University Medical Center’s
Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Institute Advisory Council, Cal Poly
Pomona’s National Development Council, and co-chairs the San Bernardino
County Alliance for Education.
<P class="p style38" align=left>He is recognized as an expert in the real
estate industry and is frequently quoted in various newspapers, magazines
and trade journals. Randall has over 30 years of experience in the real
estate industry.
<P class="p style38" align=left>He received his B.A. from Claremont
