<P class=style9 align=left>Changing demographics, economic conditions,
shifts in consumer preferences, effects from legislation and environmental
and planning issues are among major factors contributing to what some
expect will be a major shift in southern California’s housing demand.</P>
<P class=style9 align=left>A panel of housing, demographic and planning
experts will discuss how these factors might affect housing demand at the
June 17 Randall Lewis Seminar Series. The seminar will begin at 5:30 p.m.
in Conference Room B, UCR Extension Building, 1200 University Ave.,

Sociology at UCR and a nationally known demographer, will examine the
significant changes in Southern California’s demographics and what affect

housing.</P>
<P class=style9 align=left><STRONG>Steve Johnson</STRONG>, Director of the
Southern California Region of Metrostudy, a leading provider of primary
and secondary market information to the housing and related industries
nationwide, will focus on how changing consumer preferences and building
industry issues will affect housing markets.</P>

height=144><STRONG>Michael K. Woo</STRONG>, Dean of the College of
Environmental Design at Cal Poly Pomona, Los Angeles City Planner and

legislation and other planning issues might influence housing density and

height=169>Randall Lewis is well known for his innovative approaches to
planning, designing, and marketing residential communities as Executive
Vice President of the Upland-based Lewis Group of Companies. </P>
<P class=style8 align=left>He has been Secretary of the Los Angeles County
Citizens Planning Council, Director of the Home Builder's Council,
National Director of the National Association of Home Builders, and
President of the Inland Empire Arts Foundation.</P>
<P class=style8 align=left>He was inducted into the California Building
Industry Association Hall of Fame and was the recipient of the Sales and
Marketing Council's MAME Awards Marketing Person of the Year. He is a long
time ULI member as well as a Governor of the ULI Foundation.</P>
<P class=style8 align=left>He serves on several executive boards,
including the USC School of Policy, Planning and Development and the UCLA
School of Public Policy and Social Research.He received his B.A. from
Claremont McKenna College. </P>
