Center and UCR Extension are offering a lecture series this fall that will
explore public policy alternatives and sustainability issues from the minds of
some of the most experienced and renowned practitioners in Southern

course will consist of six lectures on the institutional framework and looming
issues in air quality, transportation, housing density, water, regional planning
and public finance. The lectures will be held Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9

videoconference at UCR’s Riverside and Palm Desert campuses. Individuals can
attend individual lectures on a non-credit basis for $35 per lecture, or enroll
for the entire series for credit as part of a new certificate program in
Sustainable Development and Green Design being launched this fall by UCR
