gender and ethnic inclusion in the STEM fields (science, technology,
engineering and mathematics) address year-to-year changes in various
populations, a more appropriate approach may be to see the long-term rate of
inclusion for various demographics. In this work, we use the representative
index and compare how various groups are moving towards well-defined diverse
arenas, especially for the engineering doctorate. A mathematical analysis is
used to determine the time constant for inclusive growth (how long will it
take) as well as determine whether we reach a plateau that is truly inclusive.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
