like to be involved in the region’s largest interactive
science/technology event for K-12 students?<br><br>
</b> Approximately three volunteers are needed by
<a href="http://www.ambryxbiotech.com/">Ambryx Biotechnology</a> and
<a href="http://www.encorepharma.com/pharma/default.htm">Encore
Pharmaceuticals</a> for their joint booth exploring biology at the
<a href="http://www.myscienceeducation.com/index.htm">Science and
Technology Education Partnership Conference</a> (STEP 7) Oct. 11-12 at
the Riverside Convention Center. These two local drug discovery companies
plan an interactive booth involving microscope viewing and simple
synthesis demonstrations. <br><br>
What are the benefits for you?
<ul>
<li>Help spark students’ imagination about the possibilities of careers
in science and technology
<li>Interact with company scientists and teachers
<li>Gain experience working with students in hands-on demonstrations
</ul><br>
One volunteer is desired for each of the following three time slots:
<ul>
<li>9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 11 (middle school students)
<li>1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 (K-12 students)
<li>9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 12 (Grade 4-6)
